1-Finale
24 December 2042
“Let’s eat, drink and be Merrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry!”
Yes, this is a scene in a feast, a Christmas Eve feast, where the weather outside the lodge is frightening, and the fire in the fireplace is so delighting.
“Let’s hope man will live forever more……”
“…….because of Christmas Day!”
All of the white-beard men toast while enjoying their once-a-year meal, but one old man sitting at the right end of the table didn’t spoke anything at all. All old men in the lodge called him Sir instead of Sage Johnson.
He suddenly spoke. And everything went quiet.
“I have a vision! Henry, quick take the Book and the Pen.”
“Alright, sir.”
Henry quickly reach for the Book and the Pen on the Sage’s bookshelf.
“The Book and the Pen are here, sir.”
“I hear people singing, it’s Finale from Les Misérables.”
“Alright, I shall right Finale. What else, sir?”
“The image changed into a piece of blank paper, at the upper half of the paper I see dots crossing over the paper.”
“OK, that will be a seperator.”
“Then, I see a boy calling ‘papa’.”
“That will be Papa.”
“It’s a scenery, like Lima, Peru.”
“Lima, I see.”
“A white uniform.”
“Uniform.”
“On the uniform, I saw the name Victor.”
“I shall write Victor.”
This vision is unusually long. The vision does not stop here, and it goes on to produce what had Henry written:
2-The letters that Left, and Transformed
“Oh, no! This is no good to anyone on this earth!”
The Letters that remained on the Book, is the first letter of all the words below the heading, which transformed into:
PLUVIA DIES IRAE EST HIC MATER NATURA NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM
“Rain! Judgment Day! Mother Nature’s New World Order!”
“These are the signs that Mother Nature is fighting back, giving mankind a revenge…
“…for what mankind had done to her for the past milleneum.”
All old men were talking in a pace which give anyone a chill.
“It’s going to happen, it’s the matter of time!” The Sage gave everyone a shout.
“We are going to face the Judgment together! The Judgment is meant for all mankind in this world!”
Then, little Henry stood out.
“If the Judgment is meant for all human, why are we getting prediction before it happens?”
Everyone soon be wondering and thinking about Henry’s question.
“Is it a sign that we must be prepared and alert? Have you all ever wondered why God give us news about the Judgment Day?”
The Sage asked Henry.
“Did you mean we shall undergo this Judgment Day without any harm?”
“It’s Judgment Day! God shall judge all man kind. God knows who are those more sinful than us!”
“Yes! You are right! God needs us to ensure that the Earth has a gardenkeeper to maintain the Earth. And maybe God wants us to find people who are sincere and people who can maintain Mother Earth. You’re right Henry! We shall find those people at once!”
Sage Johnson has never been so delightful.
3-Press Conference
25 December 2042
The morning of Christmas Day usually starts with church services. Bells ringling in the air, as well the songs to praise Jesus Christ.
But, this day, in Winton, Minnesota, a town in the very outskirt of Minnepolis, it is not the usually feeling you will hear on this Christmas Day.
Henry Laddie, recieved an order from the Sage, went to the nearest town and gathered journalists and people from the press media over the world. Al-Jazeera, CNN, BBC, Reuters and many other people in the world of journalism had arrived in a hall in this town to attend a media event.
Or maybe this event cannot be described a media event. Maybe the term “Press Conference” is a better description for this.
Noon, the Sage had arrived at the hall.
All rise as if it is a courthouse, and the Sage is the judge for a hearing.
Everyone seated. Henry starts the conference with a introductory note.
“Today,” Flashlights flickering upon his face while he continues, “we all are gathered here to witness a notification, a declaration, about an incident, a disaster that will occur and change everyone’s life. No one is spared from this incident, no one will survive this disaster.”
The Sage cuts in. “No, Henry. We can change our fate, our destiny. That’s why we had this press conference today.”
“Yesterday, while everyone was feasting, I had had a vision. A vision that was sent from God. He told me that Mother Nature will take her revenge upon us. We had badly treated her for the past milleniums. And our actions are leading to the further destruction. This revenge had been waited for ages, and she thinks that it is time to take some of her own”actions. She will poured us precipitation, or mostly known as rain and snow, and this time is worse than previous records. This will definitely wiped out human civilisation if we don’t take some precaution actions. Therefore, I hereby would like to warn all human in this world, to save themselves from this Judgment Day.”
Suddenly, a troop of police rushed in………
4-The Past Haunts
“Mr. Barry Johnson,” said the troop’s chief.
“Yes, and why are all of you here?”
“You are under arrest for raising panics to public using seditions, please follow us and proceed to the police station.”
“What? I am not giving seditions! I am telling the truth. It is you people want to cover this up before everyone knows! I know that you people knew, and you people want to save yourselves and not everyone!”
“No matter what is the truth, you are still under arrest. You have the right to remain silent, please use it to the most.” He finishes his lines while handcuffing Sage Johnson.
“I will not remain silent! I will not!” The Sage shouts as he leaves the hall with the cops.
Henry and the rest of the Sage’s followers ended the conference roughly. In their mind, they were worried over the Sage.
Shortly after the end of the conference, they came to the police station to see their “sir”.
“Oh, Sir. Did they do anything to you?” Brian, a follower of Sage Johnson asked.
“No need to be over worried. I’m fine and they just took some statements from me.”
“Sir, I think the press wouldn’t report the whole thing out. They will report the mistake you made 12 years ago, too.”
“Yes, I think this is fate. Our mission of telling everyone failed just because of the error I made at that time.”

1.00 p.m. Latest News Update.

“We have to lock him up. He had made a prank 12 years ago. And we will not let his prank go around again.-Secretary of State, Gordon Noah”-CNN

26 December 2042
Alone, Henry visited the police station again.
“Oh, Henry. I’m glad you are here. There’s one important thing I have to tell you.”
“Yes, sir. What is it?”
“Last night, I dreamt of God.”
“For real?”
“He had told me that he will send to all of you in the lodge 4 sets of numbers. The first three is the date. The last set determines how many good people all of you should save.”
“How many good people? Aren’t God loves everyone equally?”
“Yes, it is true. But, this is the Judgment Day we are talking. God wants to judge who will go to heaven, hell, purgatory or stay on Earth. God needs some people for the reconstruction of Earth. Now, quickly build a large transport, similar to Noah’s ark, but as long as it can fulfilled it’s duty. Go now, quickly!”
5-Faith Crisis
Back at the lodge.
“I am feeling a strong non-confidence on Sir.” Richard, one of the longest followers of the Sage, suddenly said something all unexpected.
“Sometimes he is a little crazy. Honestly. I had followed him for 20 years and I know that.”
“Why on earth you say that? He has been our leader for years and now you are not grateful?” said Brian.
“Don’t you remember that prediction……..”
“That was a mistake!” Henry cuts in quickly while he walks in from his visit.
“Mistake, right! Sometimes I wonder he is mentally ill, and made some of these statements.”
“Are you sick today? It’s shocking of you to say that!” another follower, Michael shouted.
“I am not sick and it’s not wrong to voice out my opinion! I have kept it for a very, very long time! And now it’s time to unleash it! Right?”
“Yes!” some of Richard’s supporter yelled.
“Now, I advice you to clear all doubts on Sir. We all have no doubts and all is peace and there’s no standoff like now.” said the de facto leader, Henry.
“No! As long as I’m still living in this world, I will have questions and doubts on Sir, or maybe I will not call him Sir! He is a mental-sick patient! Throw him to the mental hospital!”
“You does not belong here! This lodge does not welcomes you! Now, as I say, go out and never come back!”
“I will! Those who wants to follow me, please leave with me!”
15 followers followed with Richard and storm off the lodge.
“This is a faith crisis that everyone will not forget! And I shall make sure that this will never happen again! Right, everyone?”
Everyone nodded.
6-Digits Dreams
Night falls, and soon everyone in the lodge had their dinner.
Henry announced a latest update about their sage when one of their congregation asked.
“You had seen Sir today. How is he?”
“Well, he said he is fine, and told me something.”
“What is it?” a follower asked.
“He told me, that there will be 4 sets of numbers given to us from God.”
“What? This had never happened before!”
“Well, we have to be ready and be prepared to receive the numbers. Sir said that the first three numbers are the date for the Judgment Day.”
“Judgment Day? For real? I thought it was a theology!”
“It will happen! For the last set, the numbers determined how many people we have to bring along with us in a vehicle like Noah’s ark.”
“I don’t get it. You said we have to save a number of people, not all. Aren’t Sir always says that God loves all equally?”
“I don’t get it too. Sir said that it is Judgment Day, and some will go up to heaven, or down to hell, or a place call purgatory. But this few people plus us will be the next steward of Earth.”
“How do we find these people?”
Henry stunned. He forgot to ask the Sage about the people.
“I shall ask Sir tomorrow.”
That night, falls a snowstorm, and it’s a heavy one.
———————————————————————-
Dawn arrives, and coincidentally everyone in the lodge woke up at the same time.
“What a strange dream I’ve had!” said Brian.
“I dreamt of papers on the dining table, and it is written numbers on it!” said Michael.
“For real?” Brian replied.
“It is exactly what Henry said last night!”
“I……I have it too!”
Soon people start talking about the accuracy of the dream.
“It’s real! Come, everyone!” Henry shouted in the dining hall.
Everyone surge into the dining hall. They were shocked too.
The long dining table had 4 pieces of paper laying on it, same as in the dream.
“But I don’t see the digits appearing on it, starting from the front of the Sage’s place!”
“Maybe it means that we have to write on it, according to order. Fetch a pen and ink, quick!”
Brian took out the Pen and the Ink. Henry started writing after he got the Pen with the Ink.
Before writing……
“Just to be safe and be confirmed, what is the first numbers in all of your dreams?”
“27!”
He drew the digit 27.
“Next?”
“3″
He write number 3 on the second piece of paper.
“2043.”
“What? Next year? And it’s……it’s……”
“Good Friday.”
He wrote the next number on the paper.
And for the final piece, it was a formula.
“24+150″
“My goodness! It is the number of us plus another 150 more people! The number 24 is so familliar. When did I come across it?”
“It is the age when Jesus is dead! Is it just merely a coincidence?”
He wrote the formula. And something happened on the paper, just like the words in the Book.
7-Another Visit to Winton
The alphanumerics started to evolve. They seemed to break down into ink fluids and flowing around. And all of a sudden, the fluid stopped.
“God Almighty!” Henry cried.
What had made all of them shocked and surprised is a list. A list of people, that transformed from numbers to names.
“150 of them. This is……undescribedable. Too…great.” Michael said.
“Well, we have to execute our duty, that had sent from Him. All 150. Not more, not less.”
The list is sorted alphabetically. Henry read each names, starting from the name Aaliyah.
———————————————————–
That afternoon, Henry made a trip to the Winton Police Station, to meet up with the Sage.
“Getting used to this place?” Henry asked.
“Well, all is fine. At least I’m not in Myanmar, or in Cambodia, under Khmer Rouge.”the Sage joked.
“Good to hear that.”
“Well, what had brought you here?”
“Oh, it is just a visit to here…”
“I can sense that it is not just a normal visit.” the Sage interrupted.
“Yes, Sir. Actually is about the names, Sir…”
“Ah, that is quick! God must want this very quick, doesn’t He?”
“Yes. The Day falls next year. A very special day.”
“I know. It is on Good Friday next year, right?”
“How did you…”
“Remember. I told you about the vision. And definitely I knew when.”
“Yes, of course. There are three pieces of paper on the dining table…”
“Exactly like in the dream, right?” the Sage interrupted again.
He take a deep breathe, and continued, “Yes. And the three pieces of paper is blank. Well, that’s before we wrote something on it…”
“The numbers, right?”
“Yes. The numbers. And after we write down the numbers, something happened. Just like the Eve’s dinner!”
“Well, it form a list of names. The names all of you are going to find, right?”
“That’s why I came here, to seek your help. How on earth are we going to find these 150 of them, and convince them?”
“Well, firstly, this name list does not cover this country only, but the whole world.”
“The entire globe?” Henry asked as he hardly believe the Sage’s words.
“Of course! We are saving people across the whole world, not just the United States!!!”
“Oh my goodness! How are we going to search for them?”
“Well, there is one way, but it might work, and if it does work, it is effective for roughly 100 of them. Not all of them.”
“It’s better than searching high and low.”
“Well…this is just plainly my suggestion. There was once I had a dream, and I dreamed of Him, commanding someone to publicise a disaster. But only 100 of them turn out.”
“So, you mean we publicise this Doomsday and actually attracted 100 in the list?”
“Well, it is something like Job Vacancy. Those people who wish to fill the vacancy will come out. Just, in this case, these 100 people had a dream about this vacancy and turn out to register themselves.”
“But, we have made a press conference and you get caught, Sir.”
“All of you have to be smart, don’t you? I’m pretty sure that all of you can figure it out.”
“But, are you sure that 100 people will dream of this?”
“Well, pray to Him that they will get a vision. This can’t be guaranteed.”
“Well…we’ll see. Thanks for your help. Does the police did anything unpleasant?”
“So far, they just recorded my statements. But, I sense that the Government want to cover things up, and will probably jail me.”
“I hope everything is in His will.”
“In His will. By the way, he got his whole world in His hand…” he sang.
Henry giggled. “In His will.” he whispered to himself.
“So how’s in the lodge?”
“Hmm…It’s…It’s…okay…”
“Henry! Lying is a sin! I’ve taught you already! Do not lie, unless it is a white lie.”
“Alright. It is Richard.”
“Ah! I’ve knew it’s him! He have doubts and he have questions. I guess he left the lodge with a few people, just like Lucifer fell from Heaven.”
“Sir, you knew!”
“Well, you know, a little help of Him.”
“So, I guess I cannot be here too long. So long, Sir!”
“So long, Henry!”
A wonderfully fabricated plot! However, I do have some issues to nitpick with you here…don’t mind me, just some constructive advice if you may.
First off, past tense VS present tense errors. I noticed that you switch from past to present from time to time, and it does quite interrupt the flow of the story quite a bit.
Secondly, the dialogue. I don’t have a problem with the dialogue itself – however, a little bit of input in terms of descriptions after the dialogue would be more helpful. After too many dialogues, I end up lost as in to who is the one speaking – and what is he doing while he speaks. A little bit of emotion from the characters would be better as well, as all I can see are the dialogues – so I end up having to assume by myself what the characters are feeling.
That said, I repeat – this plot is brilliantly done. All it needs is smoother execution. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Anne, but be informed that this series is somewhat halted. This is one of my early works, which of course many errors are acknowledged. Thank you for your comments!
